I bought this backpack one year ago and wanted to use it well first before writing a review. After 12 months, here it comes: I absolutely love it. I take it to school everyday and on trips as my carry-on luggage. It is perfect for me. My laptop fits in nicely even when already packed in an extra cover. The bag has so much room in it and it is so sturdy. I got a green one (olive green) and it looks really nice. The straps are well cushioned and very comfortable, too. I have already carried tones of books in it but my shoulders never hurt. It has two pockets in the front with zippers which I use for pens, my wallet, etc. The only feature I miss in this backpack is an external bottle holder… it is a great buy.

The true test of this roller was taking it to India, loaded with my laptop, documents, clothes, and shaving set. It took a beating, and it never failed. With the numerous escalators, steps, customs, security checks, rough environmental conditions at my destination, etc., it came back looking good as new and held everything together in a compact manner after such a rough round-trip. The handle stayed sturdy even after being expanded/collapsed many times. I was surprised with the roller’s capacity, and loved the laptop sleeve WHICH I NEVER REMOVED when my laptop went through security checks in the USA, Europe, and India. It was a great investment.

First off, I thought the price was a bit hefty for a basic neoprene sleeve, but it seems to be the going rate universally, so I won’t complain about that.

Pros:

Holds my ASUS UL30Vt-A1 Thin and Light 13.3-Inch Silver Laptop (12 Hours of Battery Life) perfectly, which is what I was concerned with. A very snug fit, which ensures it won’t slide around in there.

Nice and sift, compact design.

Extra pocket for power adapter and small accessories.

Cons:

There are some much better looking sleeves out there.

Thin walls could be more supportive.

The pocket gets weird and bulky when a power supply is in there.

The most important thing I was looking for was a LIGHT messenger bag. I had been using a wheeled backpack, but that was too heavy when I had to sling it on my back. This bag is stylish and extremely light. I like the zippered pocket in the front, and do like that there’s a small handle on top for hand-carrying (although the placement is really odd - it sits to the back).

I think my only complaint is that the divider between the two sections is not attached at the bottom, so my cables slide between them. Small price to pay for a light bag at a good price.

this bag is just what i hoped it would be with regard to storage. i can fit my Macbook and my iPad and wireless keyboard in this bag with ease. that’s the good news. i even have room for some other items. unfortunately, the shoulder strap has no padding and the buckle that adjusts the size of the strap ends up resting right on my shoulder when it’s adjusted to the size that i most desire. the buckle doesn’t feel good on my shoulder so i have to adjust slightly to move it off and then the straps is a little too long for my liking. but i am going to try and build my own padding because i like the bag otherwise quite a bit.

I purchased this at a B&M two years ago and took it around the world (literally). I wanted an all black, non-bulky backpack for my 15″ wide-screen laptop (HP dv6 currently) and this fit the bill. The padded laptop area fits my 15″x10″x1.5″ laptop with the top of the laptop sticking out about an inch, but still fits inside of the bag without blocking the zipper. Quick access to the laptop via the twin zippers, just unzip enough to pull out the laptop without having to completely unzip the bag. Convenient at the airport.

It has just enough room in the main storage area for a folder or two, the power brick, a full sized wired mouse, a point and shoot camera, and a book. Inside the main area are three zippered pouches, one (mesh see-through) against the padded laptop area and two (over/under solid fabric) against the front of the bag. The mesh pouch I use to hold a couple screen cleaning cloths and as temporary storage for a DVD or CD, the top pouch holds my USB hard drive and cord, the bottom pouch I have not utilized but would be decent for spare cords. There are four outer pouches, two on the outward face, one on the side and one on the right hand shoulder strap. The top of the outer two holds my 6′ CAT5 cable, 6′ phone cord, MP3 USB cord, and two USB sticks. It has and inner un-sealed pouch sized for a cell-phone or PCMCIA card. The bottom zippered pouch has various holders for two pens, two business card sized slots, a passport sized slot, and two more slots for various small paperwork or what-not. Also included is an attached small plastic ring with a detachable pouch for two USB thumb drives and a separate detachable neck lanyard. The side zippered pouch is big enough to hold a check book, MP3 player, pens, and other small items. The shoulder strap pouch is setup for holding a cell phone or small MP3 player, it holds my Blackberry Storm with no problem but is rather snug. I prefer to keep my USB wifi finder in it for easy access.

The back of the bag and shoulder straps are padded with a nylon mesh that helps keep the covered areas from sweating during extended wear. A nylon hand carry strap is connected between the two shoulder straps at the top and is padded as well. This bag has been with me for numerous flights, car rides, and sailing on the high seas without getting any noticeable marking or wear. It is very well constructed. The only item I had an issue with were the shoulder strap adjustment lines, they have no place to go once you have adjusted your straps and just hang there. I ended up tying them together so when worn they are out of the way.

The picture makes it look bulker than it is, the bag is slim and the top curves inward unless you have it completely filled out. It does not stand upright on it’s own. This is not a bag for someone that wants to carry a ton of equipment/clothes/text books/etc or make a fashion statement. It is what it is; an affordable, unobtrusive, low profile laptop bag. Not bad with a suit or street clothes.

I used to have a sleeve with a zipper. Then the zipper left some scratches and gouges in my computer, so now I won’t have a zippered sleeve. This sleeve is nice and soft. The fit on my 13″ MacBook is great. However, with the computer in, the flap doesn’t lay flat. I’ve only just received this product, so maybe there’s some break-in that needs to be done. Regardless - the flap does cover everything to protect it, so I’m not worried. The colors are nice and either side looks great. I kind of wish they had a version with two vastly different colors like a crazy loud green and a subdued brown, but I got two browns.
